Calling all SMEs in Harlow!
If you’re a small to medium-sized business in Harlow (fewer than 250 employees) and you’ve been thinking about upgrading your digital tools, now’s your chance. Harlow Council has just launched Round 2 of the Digital Boost Grant, offering up to £2,500 in match funding to help local businesses invest in their digital future.
Whether you want to upgrade your website, improve your SEO, streamline operations with new software, or even explore advanced tech like AI or cloud systems—this grant can help you get there.
What can the grant fund:
- Websites & Mobile Apps – from redesigns to custom features.
- AI Chatbots & Business Process Automation – automate customer support, invoicing, payroll and more.
- E-commerce & Online Booking Systems – open new revenue streams and streamline bookings.
- Marketing Automation – run automated email campaigns & score leads.
- SEO & Digital Skills Training – boost visibility and up-skill your team in AI, coding, cybersecurity.
- Productivity Software – CRM, HR, accounting or project-management tools.
- Promotional Videos & Digital Assets – create engaging content to showcase your brand.

What’s not covered?
- Hardware and equipment rentals
- Maintenance of existing systems
- Domain name purchases
- Paid ads (Google, Meta, X, etc.)
- Debt repayments or consultancy fees
- Any work started before receiving grant approval
- Salaries or regular operating costs
To apply, your business must:
- Be an SME (fewer than 250 employees and under £44.9M turnover)
- Be based in Harlow, Essex
- Have been trading for at least one year
- Hold a UK business bank account
- Be compliant with UK regulations and not insolvent
- Not have received previous Harlow Digital Boost funding
Important Details
The grant operates on a 50% match funding model. That means if you’re applying for £1,000, your business must contribute £1,000 as well. The maximum grant available is £2,500.
