Who we are

We are Japeto, a trading name for Fintek Software Limited (we go by “Japeto”, “Fintek”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”), a software development agency that creates chatbots, websites and web applications for our clients. This privacy policy describes what data we collect, why and how we manage that data in connection with our website (the “Site”), our chatbot software, and our client’s web applications.

This policy does not apply to information collected offline, our client’s privacy policies, or third party software that may link or be accessible through our services. These other sites or services will have their own policies and we encourage you to read those before providing information to them.

We use a Clutch widget that shows our reviews. This includes tracking to and from their website.

Our Chatbots

We are a chatbot developer and we create chatbots that are on our client’s websites or as a standalone service. When you use those chatbots, some data is collected and stored on our servers, which are based in the UK.

Privacy is important to us, we allow our clients to limit what data we collect and hold. This information is a summary of the most data we may hold, but for a complete picture – please visit the privacy policy of the site where you accessed our chatbot technology.

Identify accuracy of intent matching and find improvements in bot script; log bot errors for debugging

Session ID Measure the levels of engagement, for example the average number of messages per session, and which intents are being used most often, to help improve future development.

We regularly hold, aggregate and share some data with our clients so they can make changes to their chatbots to improve services and better understand their users. We have no control over the privacy practices of our customers. 

How long we hold data

On our servers, chat data is held for one month in logs for debugging purposes and then automatically deleted. Reports from chat data are stored for one year from the conversation and automatically deleted. Any data kept after that point is aggregated and anonymised.

If you share personal information with a bot for booking services, this personal data is scrubbed from our chat logs after it is sent to the customer to complete your booking.

We do not willingly or knowingly work with clients who sell customer data with personally identifiable information. If you suspect your data has been compromised, please contact us at support[at]japeto[dot]io.

Aggregated data that is anonymised may be shared or used in marketing materials or commercially used as industry insights.
