We’re absolutely over the moon to announce that Japeto has been named a finalist for the Medilink Midlands Business Awards 2025 in the Outstanding Achievement category!
Our journey began with Pat, the UK’s first sexual health AI chatbot, developed in collaboration with Positive East an HIV charity. Pat provides confidential, around-the-clock support, helping people access accurate sexual health information outside clinic hours.
However, we saw a broader need for AI solutions that could support healthcare organisations and services for vulnerable communities. In response, we secured Innovate UK Smart grant funding to develop Japeto Chat, a safe, scalable AI Assistant platform designed specifically for UK healthcare. With a focus on clinical safety, data privacy, and transparency, Japeto Chat provides healthcare organisations with a reliable tool for managing pre-scripted or AI-generated responses. Tracking user needs, and reducing pressure on service providers.
The impact of this work has been significant. Japeto has grown from a two-person team to a six-person company, with our AI technology now supporting multiple NHS trusts and organisations beyond healthcare. Including educational institutions and advisory services.
We look forward to the awards ceremony on 15 May at Grand Station, Wolverhampton, and we’re honoured to be named a finalist. These awards celebrate the best innovation and collaboration across life sciences, medtech, and healthcare.
